Satellite Beach Public Library Teen's Awesome Amigurumi

How awesome are these little Amigurumi yolks?! The super talented teens at the Satellite Beach Public Library embarked on a 10-day crocheting workshop adventure last summer and made their own little plushies at the "Amigurumi Madness" workshop. According to youth librarian Marlena Harold, "Amigurumi traditionally involves the creation of small humanoid animals that often have over-sized heads, undersized bodies, exaggerated expressions, or over-sized limbs. Sounds weird, yes. But they are absolutely adorable." Adorable indeed. I want that cupcake!

Lucky for us non-Floridians, Marlena Harold and the gang at the Florida Youth Program and have posted a complete guide to all things Amigurumi in their monthly FLYP newsletter for all to share.
